We are a state school, one of the two elementary schools in the town of Třeboň. 6-15 years of age pupils are educated in our school.
There are 2 youth centres (for younger and older pupils) where the pupils can spend their time after the regular school lessons.
The school was established by consolidation of two elementary schools in year 1960 on the place of a former county authority office.
The school is settled in two buildings. One of them was built in year 1925 and the other one was opened in 1991. We use two large gyms for PE lessons.
In the present time 380 pupils in 18 classes attend the school.

We educate pupils according to our own educational programme called Colourful school for everyone. Languages, IT and sports are our priorities.
In addition to mother language studies pupils duly learn English and German, optionally French.
IT (its basic plying and use in other educational areas) widens Mathematics.
There are compulsory and optional subjects in PE. There are classes with widened PE which are aimed to handball.
Other areas of our interest are: Man and nature, Man and society, Man and the world of work, Culture and art.
